About the Positions Two fully funded PhD positions are available in the Katayev Group at the University of Bern, supported by the SNSF and SNSF BRIDGE DISCOVERY programs. These positions provide an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of synthetic methodology, focusing on redefining molecular architecture through the development of cutting-edge catalytic platforms for functional group transfer using sustainable energy inputs: PhD-I position: visible light & electricity PhD-II position: mechanochemistry Beyond fundamental discoveries, the projects emphasize applied and interdisciplinary dimensions. Candidate Profile We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a background in organic chemistry and a genuine interest in reaction design, catalysis, radical chemistry, and sustainable synthesis.
