The Institute of Integrative Cell Biology and Physiology in the Faculty of Biology at the University of Münster is inviting applications for a Doctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in, salary level 13 TV-L, 65%) in the field of developmental cell biologyat the earliest possible date. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (65%) for three years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester. Your tasks:The position is tied to working towards a doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of developmental cell biology and genetics. In the three-year project, mechanistic questions related to epithelial tissue morphogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster are to be addressed using genetic, molecular and imaging techniques. Teaching duties involve supervision of undergraduate students at the Bachelor and Master level. Our expectations:The prerequisite for this appointment is a M.Sc. degree in biology, biochemistry or another related discipline. Candidates with a strong background in cell or developmental biology, molecular biology or genetics are encouraged to apply. Applications from candidates interested in quantitative imaging are especially welcome. A good command of written and spoken English is essential. German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.
